Chris Janson

Location: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds 

Platinum-selling Country music recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, and award-winning singer/songwriter Chris Janson will be back at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds on February 1st at 7pm! And special guest, Hayden Coffman will be opening for Chris Janson as well! Tickets are $50+ handling.


A Night of Improv

February 1st 

Location: Blue Ridge Community Theater 

Get ready for a night of improv at this fun fundraising event for Project Chimps at Blue Ridge Community Theater! Atlanta’s comedy theater, Dad’s Garage will entertain guests with improvised games, stories, characters and more! Join in the fun Saturday, February 1st at 7:30pm.


Live Music at Misty Mountain Hops

Big Canoe Photography and Art Exhibit

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association

Admire local photographers, from the Big Canoe Photography & Art Club, and their amazing photos at the Art Center this month. The photos on display capture the beauty of nature, moments of everyday life, and imaginative compositions, all while celebrating artistic expression and community connection.


Artist in Residence: Robert Choe-Henderson

Come on out to the Art Center to admire Korean American, Robert Choe Henderson’s beautiful papermaking and book art techniques on display in the gallery through March 29th.


Live Music at Bear Claw Vineyards & Winery

Location: Bear Claw Vineyards

For award winning wine, live music, and food truck Bear Claw Vineyards is the place for you! Join them every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for live music and food trucks. Kids and dogs are welcome too. The live music schedule for each weekend is shared on their website each Thursday so be sure to check back!

Folk Collaborative Classes & Workshops

The Folk Collaborative is dedicated to keeping the art of Appalachian culture alive and well. Through their monthly classes, you too can learn the history and culture of the Appalachian people. This year the classes at the Folk Collaborative will revolve around the concept of cottagecore and classic Appalachian craft & culture. Beatle Girls 

February 6th-February 16th 

Location: Blue Ridge Community Theater 

The play, the Beatle Girls, follows the story of a grown-up Nora Sweeney and her friends reminiscing on the moment in time when they all helped run the Beatles Fan Club. They'll tell the story of what life was really like during the British Invasion and what it was like working with the legendary British pop group, the Beatles.  Shows are Thursdays – Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2pm. This wonderful annual performance at the Craddock Center in Cherry Log, GA will include musicians and storytellers who share the best of Appalachia’s unique culture and traditions in honor of Helen Lewis. Admission is free but donations are welcome and will go towards the purchase of new books.


Downtown Blairsville Chocolate Walk

February 8th 

Location: Downtown Blairsville

Join in the “sweet” fun February 8th from 11am-4pm in Downtown Blairsville for a Chocolate Walk! There will be 20+ participating merchants offering a selection of artisanal chocolates, truffles, and so much more! Included in your $15 ticket is also a map of vendors, a chocolate passport and a swag bag. Be sure to collect stamps at each vendor for a chance to win a $100 shopping spree in Downtown Blairsville!

14th Annual Fire & Ice Chili Cookoff & Craft Beer Festival 

February 15th 

Location: Downtown City Park

Have all kinds of winter fun at the 14th Annual Fire & Ice Chili Cookoff & Craft Beer Festival! There will be ice sculptures, live music, and plenty of chili and craft beers! Buy a $10 tasting card to try all the delicious chilis yourself and be sure to check out the ice sculpting process from award winning ice sculptors. This is a great annual event you won’t want to miss!


Blue Ridge Film Festival

Location: Blue Ridge Community Theater 

The Blue Ridge Film Festival, hosted at Blue Ridge Community Theater, brings independent films and artists to an already thriving art town for a weekend of community. Artists can enjoy events and workshops, connect with other filmmakers, watch various independent films, and so much more. The event runs Friday, February 21st thru Saturday, February 22nd at Blue Ridge Community Theater. 


Blue Ridge Poets & Writers Conference 

February 21st-February 22nd 

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association

Calling all aspiring writers to the 28th Annual Blue Ridge Poet's & Writing Conference hosted by the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association. This wonderful event will include a workshop panel with a selection of speakers who will cover topics such as book sales, self-publishing, and more.


Cheers for Chimps

February 22nd 

Location: Paradise Hills 

Get tickets for this great event and you’ll receive a limited-edition Project Chimps glass, a chimp themed coaster, and one pour of their delicious warm wine apple toddy! 6th Annual Chili and Cornbread Cookoff

February 23rd 

Location: Buck Bald Brewing 

February is the month for chili cookoffs! Buck Bald Brewing will be hosting their own chili cookoff at the end of the month, and if you’ve got a chili recipe you love now’s your chance to share it! There will be both civilian and commercial entries and medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers. Come on down!


Healing through Color

Celebrate the start of Youth Art Month with a special exhibition “Healing Through Color”. The opening reception will take place Thursday, February 27th at 3:30pm-5:30pm. The exhibition will be on display from the opening reception on February 27th thru March 29th.
