The holidays are just around the corner! And November marks the start of holiday shopping and festive events and festivals around the mountains. This month you can cross off everything on your Christmas list by heading to a local Christmas market, or kick off the season with a tree lighting at the end of the month. And as always there’s more music and art events around town to enjoy, as well as a few more fall festivals before we jump into the holiday season.

Location: First Fruits of the Ridge
Put on your cowboy boots & hats and come on out for Boots, Barbecue & Blessing at First Fruits of the Ridge in Ellijay. The event will have appetizers, a catered dinner, live & silent suction, raffles, and a night of comedy from Bean & Bailey. Proceeds will go to expanding children programs and providing food for people in need. Tickets are $150 a person.
Annual Everything Christmas Sale

The friends of the Union County Library will be hosting a Christmas sale! On November 1st and 2nd, you’ll find lots of ornaments, stockings, garlands, wreaths, and everything Christmas! The event is free to attend and runs from 10am-4pm both days.
Mel Brook’s Young Frankenstein the Musical

Santa will be in town ready to take photos with kids in the gazebo from 12pm-4:15pm. And downtown will be filled with food vendors, strolling Christmas entertainment, and even more Christmas cheer! Then at 5:30pm the Christmas Parade starts at the corner of East Main street and Church street. And the great tree will be lit right after the parade at 7pm! It’s going to be a wonderful weekend of holiday fun
