Fall festivals are still in full swing and Thanksgiving is upon us! November offers a variety of great events from art shows, live music, theater performances, Thanksgiving feasts, and holiday sales. The end of the month also marks the start of the Christmas season, so get excited for Light Up events in both Blue Ridge and McCaysville!

SAAG National Juried Show
November 1st – November 11th
Location: The Blue Ridge Art Center

It’s the 14th Annual Southern Appalachian Artist Guild (SAAG) National Juried Show! This great art event shows off a variety of national artists in a wide variety of mediums right here at the Blue Ridge Art Center. These talented artists works are on display October 15th – November 11th.

Come out the Art Center to admire Scott Davis’s beautiful and unique photographs. His work will be on display September 24th – December 17th.

Live Music at ROE.

Thursday Fun Runs at the Riverwalk

You’ll get to run through 2 states and cross the famous steel bridge! After the run stay for drinks at the Burra Burra overlooking the Toccoa River. Don’t walk, RUN to this great event!

Holiday Bazaar

Get your holiday shopping done early at the Holiday Bazaar in Young Harris! There will be over 75 vendors in attendance offering a wide variety of Christmas decorations, homemade crafts, art, gourmet food including holiday favorites, demonstrations, classes and more! Admission is $5 for an adult 1 day pass or $7 for an adult 2 day pass. Children 15 & under are free. Saturday the fun goes from 10am – 5pm and Sunday from 11am – 4pm.

A Dolls House

Come on out to see Young Harris College’s production of A Dolls House by Henrik Ibsen. The play follows Nora and Torvald who live in Norway in the late 1800’s. Nora becomes enlightened and strives for more in the male dominant society she lives in.
