JUNE EVENTS 2024

Summer fun is in full swing in the North Georgia Mountains! This month we’ve got rodeos galore to experience, arts & craft markets, the Blairsville Scottish Festival, the Made in Georgia Festival, and Independence Day fireworks and events at the end of the month! See our full lineup of June events below!


June 1st

Location: 692 Cherokee Trail, Copperhill, TNThis two-day rodeo extravaganza is heading to the Copper Basin on May 31st & June 1st! The rodeo will feature the top cowboys & cowgirls in the country, as they compete for the championships. On top of an exciting lineup of rodeo entertainment, there will also be food vendors, award winning announcers, craft vendors, rodeo clowns and much more! Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for kids ages 4-7, and $100 for VIP tickets. A portion of the proceeds will benefit a local charity. 


June 1st 

Location: Vogel State Park 

Get out on the trails for National Trails Day at Vogel State Park! From 9am-3:30pm there will numerous outdoor activities to try like crosscut saw, a rock work demonstration, and hiking. Then at 2pm there will be music in the outdoor pavilion with the Wilderness Pickers! 


June 1st-June 2nd 

Location: Blue Ridge Community Theater

This thrilling play follows charming rebel McMurphy and his short sentence in a minimum-security mental institution. Throughout the play you’ll see McMurphy quarrel with head nurse, Nurse Ratched and lead the other patients into a revolt against the mental institution. Will McMurphy pay for his insubordination? Find out in Blue Ridge Community Theater’s production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest! Shows are Thursdays – Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2pm. Location: Mayors Park, Young Harris 

Come enjoy premium seafood in North Georgia at the North Georgia Highland Seafood Festival in Young Harris! There will be music, arts & crafts, a beer & wine garden, and plenty of delicious seafood. Admission is $5 a person.


June 1st-June 15th 

Location: Crane Creek Vineyards 

Come out for live music Friday nights at the Farmhouse Market at Crane Creek Vineyards. The vineyards will be open late Friday nights, with extended hours until 8pm. Grab a glass of wine, a charcuterie board, and a seat and enjoy!

Location: Crane Creek Vineyards

Learn all about the wine making process with this behind-the-scenes experience! Take a tour of the beautiful Crane Creek Vineyards and experience what goes into making a bottle of Crane Creek wine! You can take a Winery Tour on Saturdays at 2pm, March-November. The cost is $40 per person.

Misty Mountain Hops is a music-centric restaurant and pub so it’s only fitting that they bring in live music. Stop by select Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm-9pm for great food and great live music from local artists!

Visit the winery at the beautiful Paradise Hills hidden in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The tasting room offers Paradise Hills wine, a selection of craft beers, hard cider, and wine slushies as well as cheese and charcuterie boards, tapas, and shared platters. You can enjoy your drinks and snacks as you listen to local artists perform select Fridays 4pm – 8pm & Saturdays from 1pm – 5pm.

For award winning wine, live music, and food truck Bear Claw Vineyards is the place for you! Join them every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for live music and food trucks. Admire beautiful handmade quilts and celebrate our mountain heritage at the Art Center’s Community Quilt & Fiber Arts Exhibit. The gallery will be covered in both traditional and non-traditional quilts as well as a wide array of fiber arts. The exhibit runs from May 24th-July 6th.


June 2nd- June 24th 

Location: Cherry Log, GA

Explore the beauty of North Georgia on a guided hiking tour with the Benton McKaye Trail Association. They offer 2-4 hikes a month varying in difficulty from easy, leisurely hikes to moderately difficult hikes.

June 8th: BMTA Monthly Maintenance Trip. 

June 15th: Start at the Ocoee Whitewater Center and then hike the BMT from FS Rd 221 to Thunder Rock.

June 3rd-June 24th 

Location: Tooney’s Music Venue

Have you ever wanted to learn how to line dance? Well now’s your chance! Tooney’s now offers free, weekly line dancing classes Monday nights! The class is open to people of all ages and dance experience! Doors open at 6pm and classes start at 7pm. Come on down and show us what you can do!


June 4th-June 25th 

Location: Downtown City Park

Every Tuesday night from 6:30pm-7:30pm, spring thru fall, stretch those tired muscles with a yoga class in Downtown City Park! Admission is pay what you can. This is a great way to relieve stress after a busy week of exploring Blue Ridge!


June 6th-June 27th 

Location: Horseshoe Bend Park


Every Thursday night at 6:00pm, May-September visit Horseshoe Bend Park in McCaysville, GA for live music and picnicking by the Toccoa River. Picnic tables are available but feel free to bring a picnic blanket and lawn chair as well. Admission is free so bring the whole family to enjoy!


June 6th-June 27th 

Location: Hamilton Gardens


Head to the beautiful Hamilton Gardens in Hiawassee GA Thursday nights this month for their Acoustic Sunsets Concert Series. The event takes place every Thursday night now through June 27th from 5pm-9pm and will include craft vendors, food trucks, and live music. Bring your lawn chairs or picnic blankets and come on out for an evening of fun!


June 7th 

Location: Paradise Hills


Participate in Paradise Hills delicious supper club happening monthly! Each month they will be having a seasonal themed menu that includes salad, your special entrée, and desserts. This month’s theme is Low Country Broil Feast! Dinner is $35 a person and reservations are required. Please call 706-745-7483 to reserve your spot.


June 7th 

Location: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds

Head to Hiawassee for a night of 60’s & 70’s hits from artists like The Turtles, Jay & The Americans, The Associations, Badfinger, The Vogues, and The Cowsills! The show kicks off at 7pm and tickets are $45+ handling.


June 7th 

Location: Downtown Blairsville 

Kick off the Blairsville Scottish Festival weekend with a night of Scottish fun in the town square! There will be Scottish folk music & singing, traditional dancing, storytelling, and delicious food & drink. The event is FREE to attend!  


June 7th-June 8th 

Location: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds 

Come on out to Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds for the annual summer British in the Blue Ridge Rally! This is THE premier British motorcycle rally in the southeastern United States and has been held every year since 1985. The event will have a motorcycle show, vendors, field events, mountain motorcycle rides, and camping! All makes and models are welcome to join and campsites are available as well!


June 7th & June 15th 

Location: Noontootla Creek Farms

Come on down to Noontootla Creek Farms for some after hours fun! You’ll arrive at 6:30 to a delicious dinner then head out to the pavilion for glow in the dark sporting clay games. The winner will even take home a prize! Your $75 reservation includes dinner and 50 clays per person. Don’t miss out on this fun clay shooting experience!


June 8th 

Location: Blue Ridge Community Theater 

Celebrate the Beatles and their beloved music with a performance from Forever Abbey Road, a Beatles tribute band of successful Nashville musicians who demonstrate what the Beatles might sound like if they were around today, with current technology and modern rock energy. Don’t miss this night of music at Blue Ridge Community Theater for their Live Music is Better series! Forever Abbey Road will take the stage at 7:30 pm on June 8th and tickets are $45 for this awesome show!


June 8th-June 9th 

Location: Meeks Park


Come one, come all to this celebration of Scottish heritage in Blairsville! The event will have traditional games, highland music, Scottish food, border collies herding sheep, and plenty of Scottish flair! You and the wee ones won’t want to miss this great event happening all weekend long from 9am-5pm.


June 11th-June 28th  

Location: The Art Center (Blue Ridge Mountains Art Association)


Looking for something to keep your kids busy and entertained this summer? Sign them up for the Summer Youth Art Camp! The Art Center offers three weeks of full day camp with wonderful art classes like clay, painting, and much more! Choose to sign your child up for one week or all three! Your creative and artistic child will come home with new skills and techniques and an even greater love for art in no time!


June 15th 

Location: North Georgia Technical College 

Come admire beautiful works of art from some of your favorite local artists at the Sunshine Arts & Crafts Market! There will be 60 artists with their works displayed in the dining room and outside. Admission is free.

Location: Union County Schools Fine Arts Center


Come on out to the Union County Schools Fine Arts Center for the 2nd Annual Georgia State Fiddler’s Convention! Fiddlers of all ages will be competing, so you’ll have ample opportunities to enjoy some bluegrass tunes. There will also be arts & crafts, food trucks, and more! Admission is $5 a person. 


June 15th 

Location: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds

Great local music is coming to the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds! Head to the Anderson Music Hall on June 15th for a free concert from local band, Riverbend and singer/songwriter Gavyn Thorsell. Doors open at 5pm and music starts at 6pm!

Location: Union Argiscience Building


The Mountain Fling Arts & Crafts Show is back, this time in a new location, the Union Argiscience Building! The event will feature local and regional artists and crafters selling their wonderful & unique items! A light lunch and dessert will be available as well. Admission is free!

Location: Old Toccoa Farm


Pay a visit to our friends at Old Toccoa Farm for a special Father’s Day Brunch from 10am-4pm. Are you ready for a night of laughter!? Actor and comedian, Bert Kreischer brings his Tops Off the World Comedy Tour to Hiawassee! You may know Kreischer from his Netflix comedy specials or major motion picture, The Machine. And now you have the chance to see him perform LIVE! Come admire cool cars at the Hiawassee Rod Run at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds! Performance or sport domestic vehicles will be competing for $5,000 in cash giveaways! And there will also be live music from The Silver Travis Band! Admission is $10 and children 12 & under are free! 


June 21st 

Location: Paradise Hills


Enjoy a fun paint class and a glass of wine at Paradise Hill’s Sip, Paint, & Create class. This private class will include all your supplies and a free glass of wine. Then leave with your new masterpiece! Tickets are $45 a person.

Location: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds 

Southern rock is coming to the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds with The Marshall Tucker Band! You know them from hits like, “Heard It in a Love Song,” “Can't You See,” “Fire on the Mountain,” and “Ramblin”. And joining The Mashall Tucker Band on the Anderson Music Hall Stage is special guest, Ben Chapman! You won’t want to miss it! Tickets are $39 + handling. 


June 21st-June 22nd 

Location: Union County Saddle Club Arena


 Head to Blairsville for the 13th Annual Pro Rodeo! Catch all the action in the covered arena from 8pm-11pm. There is also plenty to do for the littles ones as well, along with food and fun! This is a great entertaining event that the whole family will love! 


June 22nd 

Location: Paradise Hills, Cabins-Spa-Winery


Get ready for a night of laughs at the Winery Comedy Night! Live professional stand-up comics will make you laugh all night long! Grab a glass of wine or a beer and let the laughter flow! Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 8pm!


June 28th-June 29th 

Location: Location: On the River at the old baseball field on West Tennessee Avenue in Copperhill, TN

Ready for a rodeo!? Come on out for The Great American Rodeo on June 28th & 29th.  There will be lots of fun rodeo events and food vendors at this awesome event! And on Saturday there will even be a firework show! Tickets are $20 per person and children 5 & under are free.


June 29th 

Location: Downtown McCaysville & Copperhill


Food, fun, and fireworks await you at the Copper Basin Celebration & Fireworks show. The day will kick off at 9am with the children’s fishing rodeo, then the Independence Day Parade at 1pm, with a fireworks show to follow later that night. You can see the fireworks from anywhere downtown, just bring your blankets & chairs and enjoy the view! Come on down for a special night to celebrate America’s birthday!


June 29th 

Location: Grandaddy Mimm’s 


Get tickets for this great event and you’ll receive a limited-edition Project Chimps glass, one drink, a food ticket, and a chimp themed coaster! Tickets are $25 for attendees 21+ and all proceeds go towards Project Chimps! There’s no better excuse to drink than helping some adorable chimps!


June 29th 

Location: Blue Ridge Scenic Railway


Celebrate America’s birthday with a special train ride to the Copper Basin to admire the fireworks! The train will leave Blue Ridge at 7pm and return around 11pm after the fireworks show. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and the whole family to join in the fun!


June 28th-June 29th 

Location: Ducktown Basin Museum Hoist House

Ducktown, TN has a full weekend of family fun activities at the 49th Annual Miner's Homecoming Celebration! All weekend long you can expect a celebration of the copper mining industry and America’s birthday. There will be live music, a parade, games, food, and fireworks! Come on out for all the fun!


June 29th-June 30th 

Location: Towns County Recreation & Conference Center

If you’re ready to shop for unique items made right here in Georgia then check out the Made in Georgia FestivalYou’ll be able to shop at over 90 vendors who offer a wide variety of products made, grown, brewed, harvested, stitched, crafted, or inspired by Georgia.  Take home fashion accessories, home décor, health and beauty products, and so much more! Even enjoy gourmet food and treats from some of Georgia’s top chefs AND live music on Saturday from Mountain Breeze! The event runs Saturday & Sunday from 10am-4pm. Entry is $5; children 14 and under are free!
