January Events 2025

A new year means more fun and exciting events in store for you! Escape to Blue Ridge in 2025, and not only will you find beautiful mountain views, a vibrant downtown scene, and endless outdoor adventures, but you’ll also find an amazing lineup of festivals and events. Blue Ridge on Ice

January 1st-January 5th 

Location: Blue Ridge Farmers Market

Have some family friendly winter fun with ice skating at the Farmer’s Market! This fun new outdoor ice skating rink is set up at the Blue Ridge Farmers Market, next to the Swan Drive In, on select dates now through January 5th. For just $15 you can skate to your heart’s content! After your skate, warm up with hot cocoa and other sweet treats from the concessions stand.


Live Music at Buckley Vineyards

January 1st-January 26th 

Location: Buckley Vineyards

This beautiful creekside, Ellijay, mountain winery is the perfect place to spend an afternoon! Each of their charming wines are crafted and bottled with love, and ready to be enjoyed by all! So come on out to Buckley Vineyards on weekends for live music and a refreshing glass of wine.

Location: Chateau Meichtry

Come sip on wine by the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains at Chateau Meichtry. This beautiful winery located in Talking Rock, GA has both outdoor & indoor seating options, so you can enjoy the atmosphere of the winery no matter the weather. On Saturdays & Sundays you can sip on your favorite glass of wine while you enjoy live music from local artists from 1:30pm-5:30pm. And there’s food trucks on the weekends as well!

Movie Nights at the Coffeehouse

Location: The Folk Collaborative 

Every Friday night The Folk Collaborative and Daffodilly's Plant Co. will be offering FREE movie nights! There will be a coffee bar, concessions, and food from the regular menu available to purchase during the event. Doors open at 6pm and movies start at 6:30pm. Bring your blankets and cozy clothes and come watch some great movies!

Line Dancing Class

Have you ever wanted to learn how to line dance? Well now’s your chance! Tooney’s now offers free, weekly line dancing classes Monday nights! The class is open to people of all ages and dance experience! Doors open at 6pm and classes start at 7pm. Come on down and show us what you can do!

Misty Mountain Hops is a music-centric restaurant and pub so it’s only fitting that they bring in live music. Stop by select Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm-9pm for great food and great live music from local artists!

Catch Sunny D’s Children’s Theater production of the beloved Disney hit film, Frozen! Kids of all ages will love seeing their favorite characters brought to life on stage by the talented kiddos of Sunny D’s Children’s Theater. Shows are January 16th-26th on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 6:30pm and Sundays at 2pm. You won’t want to miss it!

Disco Cabin Fever Night

January 24th 

Location: Grumpy Old Men Brewing 

Get ready for a night of disco and fun at Grumpy Old Men Brewing! Head to the brewery on Friday, January 24th from 7pm-10pm for live music from Betty Seni and dancing under the disco ball! Tickets are $50 a person and include entry into the event, light food & drinks, and a raffle ticket. All proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of Blue Ridge


Electric Avenue- The 80’s MTV Experience 

January 25th 

Location: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds

It’s time to dance the night away to all your favorite 80’s songs! Electric Avenue will put on a high energy show at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds and take you right back to the 1980’s. There will even be a dancing section for this show so come ready to boogie! Tickets are $25+ handling.
