TRI-STATE MODEL RAILROADERS & HISTORIC MINERAL BLUFF DEPOT

L&N Depot in Mineral Bluff is the oldest building in Fannin County, built in 1887. It houses one of the Southeast's best HO Scale model railroads, a double-deck, museum-quality layout that represents the entire line from Marietta through Blue Ridge and McCaysville and up to Etowah, TN, with the Hiawassee Loop included. Activities include open houses with layout tours and Ride-the-Rails events where visitors can ride motor cars from Mineral Bluff across the Toccoa River, near to the junction with the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway.
