Our Commitment to Cleaning Standards
Arrive with Confidence
At Escape to Blue Ridge, the safety and health of our Guests, Owners, and Associates are a top priority. We have a strong commitment towards quality, and we work hard to ensure each of our Guests arrive to a clean and safe vacation home. We take great pride in our efforts to make sure your experience with us is excellent, and we maintain the highest of standards in our Housekeeping processes.
Our Team & Credentials
All members of our Housekeeping teams are employees of Escape to Blue Ridge. We do not utilize independent contractors, or rely on other cleaning companies to clean and prepare our homes for your arrival. Each employee must become "EBR Certified" by passing a stringent two-week training program, and adhere to daily and ongoing inspections of their work. EBR is a long-standing member of the Vacation Rental Management Association (VRMA), and the Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals Association (VRHP). Our team is committed to following best practices for disinfection and established cleaning protocols at all times.
Enhanced Disinfection and Housekeeping Procedures
We are taking extra precautions to mitigate the spread of coronavirus in line with recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO). We use virus-killing products recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and listed by the American Chemistry Council.
Our professional Housekeeping associates receive daily and ongoing training regarding sanitation protocols, and the proper use of our EPA approved chemicals. We have very rigid inspection processes, and adhere to enhanced disinfection procedures to sanitize and disinfect all areas.
More specifically, our practices include the following measures:
- Hand Hygiene - Proper and frequent hand washing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses. In our daily meetings, our teams are reminded of frequent hand washing and the use of hand sanitizer and gloves.
- Ongoing Training - In addition to training on enhanced housekeeping and hygiene protocols, our housekeeping teams have also received COVID-19 awareness training.
- Enhanced Surface Disinfection - Our teams are receiving daily training and reminders of enhanced disinfection of frequently touched surfaces (for example: tables, doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, toilets, faucets, sinks) with our EPA-registered disinfectants.
- Employee Wellness - We will not allow our Associates to work if they have symptoms or show signs of having symptoms of illness.
- Hot Tub Sanitation - All hot tubs are drained and sanitized upon every Guest departure. This includes using proper disinfectants and thorough cleaning and/or replacement of the filter on a frequently scheduled interval.
Use of Commercial Laundry
Escape to Blue Ridge employs the professional services of a commercial hospitality laundry for washing and sanitation of our bed linens and bath terry amenities. Their processes utilize high heat wash temperatures and exact chemical sanitation programs which are routinely monitored through their partnership with Ecolab. There is no evidence to suggest that coronavirus can survive the wash chemistry and temperatures of their rigid processes. Further, our ongoing standard involves tightly felwrapping all of these products into individual packages upon delivery from our laundry. This maintains sanitary integrity during storage in our facility, and throughout the delivery process out to the homes being cleaned.
Express Check-In
Each home in our portfolio is equipped with an electronic lock. This complimentary and standard check-in process allows our Guests the ability to go directly to their vacation rental without the requirement to interact with our staff.
Your Safety and Additional Precautions
We encourage our Guests to follow the CDC’s recommendations for the best line of defense against coronavirus. These measures include:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap.
- Use hand sanitizer if you do not have access to soap and water.
- Avoid touching your face.
- Avoid contact with sick people, and stay home and seek medical attention if you feel sick.
Please read the CDC recommendations for further information.
