The Glass Lodge

Your spirits will soar to new heights at every encounter during your stay at The Glass Lodge.  This simply stunning North Georgia Mountain home is as far away from a simple cabin as you can imagine.

Your journey to the home will start on a long paved road climbing higher and higher reaching this pinnacle of luxury atop the mountain.  Professionally landscaped, the front yard features a custom-built waterfall that rushes by with a thrilling wow-factor.  The grounds offer a natural setting among wild azaleas and dogwoods in the spring, and mountain laurel and rhododendrons in the summer months. The winters are equally spectacular with snow capped mountains in the distance and dashes of green pine among the lacey dormant hard wood branches.

The splendor of The Glass Lodge continues with its million-dollar view.  The home has soaring two-story windows that surround the main living area fully on three sides showcasing the panorama and the big sky above.  The multi-layered, ever-changing mountains ripple on the horizon for miles offering the perfect backdrop for magnificent sunrises and sunsets.  At night, take in the distant twinkling lights from the town of Blue Ridge way down in the valley. 
The Lodge’s gorgeous all tongue-and-groove interior of light pine walls and floors add to the home’s airy drama.  Original sculptures and professional décor make for great architectural interest.  For the aspiring culinary artist, the state-of-the-art kitchen offers granite counters, a perfectly calibrated cooler if you like cooking with wine – in your glass - and upscale stainless appliances, all make for great design and function. 

Just steps away is a professional gas grill for the grill master in the family.  And here on the spectacular 1,110 square foot deck, you can enjoy your meals at the outdoor, 8-person dining table.  This deck is what an outdoor room is all about - relax with a nightcap on any of the countless rockers or enjoy a soak in the hot tub as you watch the dancing flames in the beautiful outdoor stone fireplace.

The great room begs for great conversation with tons of leather sectional seating to accommodate the whole gang. If a quiet evening is in the plan, then curl up here in front of the indoor stone fireplace with your cheese and crudités and enjoy a movie from the multitude of options from Direct TV.

Downstairs, the media room not only offers a 50-inch plasma with surround sound, a wet bar with extra refrigerator and yet another beautiful rock fireplace.  The game room is on this level and offers billiards and air hockey.  There is also another deck which is covered and nearly as large as the one off of the upstairs great room.

For sleeping accommodations, The Glass Lodge offers two king size suites and a cozy queen room, both outfitted in luxurious linens and both having their own private high-end adjoining bathrooms.  A pull-out sofa and a futon are downstairs in the game and media room level.
